The Hairy Evening-Primrose. I don’t see the hairy thing myself — apparently the stems have a sort of furry feeling. Blooms at night and is done by late morning.
The Tufted Evening Primrose blooms in the evening and is wilted and closed up by about 10:00 a.m. We found these on the Cub Lake trail.
We went on a late afternoon hike at Cow Creek — and waited to take these photos until after 6:00 pm when they finally began to open.
Even though it is morning, the Tufted Evening Primrose is still at it’s best. By noon it will wilt and turn pink. Four turkeys joined us on the trail today.
Another trail lined with roses — these only a few inches tall. But look who was hiking the trail in front of us!
