Mountain Ball Cactus

Right in Estes Park, at the sides of the road, in the morning sun, you might just be lucky enough to spot these wonderful round baseball-sized cacti with the gorgeous pink blossoms. They close up later in the day, so look early. You can also find them in Upper Beaver Meadows, but probably not for a few weeks. Look in sunny, sandy soil.
