Harvest Time

The Hollygrape looks just exactly like its name — the leaves of a holly bush and the deep purple berries that make me think of the concord grapes from those old grape juice commercials of my childhood. Hollygrape flowers are small and bright yellow and can be found on every sunny trail in RMNP. I tried to find a photo of them — I know that I have a bunch — but they have disappeared. Next spring I’ll be sure to get more.
